Tue, 01 Aug 2023 18:11:07 -0700WeeblyTue, 20 Nov 2012 02:48:00 GMThttp://belcorsojewelry.com/video-blog/platinum-solderingA quick video of one of our master jewelers soldering the head of a ring onto it's shank.  Most would make this ring in one piece but we prefer not to as it creates a much finer pieces due to the high polish we can achieve on the seam.  Along with our proprietary flux we use high-grade 1400 platinum solder, not white gold soft solder as most do.  Using 1400 solder is far more difficult but well worth the effort as it creates a cleaner and invisible joint.
